Privacy policy

This policy covers rogaland.com.au only. Northing and Heron Hire are separate products with their own privacy policies, linked from their own sites.

What we collect

What you submit through the contact form: your name, email address, and message. We also keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated automatically by our hosting and security providers, and usage analytics via Google Analytics (page views, approximate location, device and browser type) generated by cookies set in your browser.

How we use it

Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. They're stored in our database and emailed to us via SendGrid. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used. We don't sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third parties

This site is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure, served through Cloudflare, and sends email via SendGrid (Twilio). We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic, which sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google; this may involve data being processed on servers outside Australia. You can opt out using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Each provider processes data as necessary to perform these functions and maintains its own privacy and security practices.

Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as they remain relevant to an ongoing enquiry or relationship, and deleted on request.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and request its correction or deletion. Contact info@rogaland.com.au for any privacy request.
